FAQs

  • I don't know whether to ask for the Community Car or Dial a Ride - Just call anyway, if you need door to door transport the operator will work out which is the best service for you
  • Why should I have to pay a membership fee to use Dial a Ride - You don't anymore, it has recently been agreed that the fee should be waived for all new users
  • Why cant I use my concessionary pass on the door to door services - You can for connecting journeys to other bus services. For other journeys on door to door services while you can't use your pass the fares on these services are already very heavily subsidised so you are receiving a concession. If you are in receipt of vouchers from Babergh District Council, for use instead of a pass, these can be used on all Buzabout services
  • I cant get to Ipswich early morning or back after 3.30pm - Recent improvements to the 98 will help overcome this. It is also possible to use door to door services to make connections with services into or out from Ipswich
  • Can I travel in my wheelchair - the 98, Community Car and Dial a Ride are all accessible to wheelchair users and have other access features. This also makes them suitable for those with pushairs, luggage, etc
  • Can I buy a ticket on the Community Car for the bus I want to connect with - Yes, arrangements to accept through fares exist between all services. You can also purchase discount and season tickets for all services
  • Is Shotley Ferry part of the network - Yes, the 97, 98, and door to door services link to ferry, which itself is being improved and will run all year round

BUZABOUT DEVELOPMENT

  • A Buzabout Monitoring Group has been established
  • Includes residents, bus users, Council Members and Officers
  • Welcome views, issues and good ideas for service improvements, etc
  • Can be contacted by calling Paul Beecham - 01543 879637, pbeecham0@aol.com

BUZABOUT FUTURE

  • Current Funding for the Buzabout Services ceases in October 2005 and for the Community Car evening and weekend service in February 2006
  • If services are to continue they must prove themselves by then
  • If you think we can improve on services to give them with the best chance of achieving this, then do let us know
  • Alternatively why not give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised at just how easy travelling on Buzabout can be
