Safer Neighbourhood Team community consultation meeting, 11 July 2007

A Safer Neighbourhood Team community consultation meeting has been arranged in the main hall of Shotley Primary School on 11 July 2007 at 7.30pm.

All those people with interests in their local communities on the peninsula are invited to attend this meeting.

The idea behind Safer Neighbourhood Teams is to listen and identify local concerns, work together to tackle issues that are identified and keep each other informed of the progress. SNTs incorporate a number of agencies and people including local council officials, social workers, highways and most importantly the residents of each parish covered by the SNT.

The 11 July meeting is the first one, but it is hoped that a meeting will be organised for all ten parishes on the peninsular at least every 3 months, with a different venue at each.

The ten parishes covered by the SNT for the Peninsula are Wherstead, Tattingstone, Stutton, Holbrook, Freston, Woolverstone, Chelmondiston, Shotley, Erwarton, Harkstead.

The meeting will take an informal approach, but minutes will be kept and all will be regularly updated on actions taken / development of on any issues raised.
