Crimes 18-19 Jan 2008

Overnight Friday 18/19 January there was a spate of crimes in Shotley
including house burglaries and thefts from sheds. They appear to be
linked to similar incidents in Hintlesham and Ipswich.

One of the cars used was found abandoned in nearby Erwarton This had
been stolen in Hintlesham and believed to have run out of petrol. The suspects appeared to have stolen two pedal cycles from a shed in Erwarton
cycled to Shotley committed these crimes and used another stolen car to
make good their escape.

The offenders have been entering insecure houses stealing handbags and
car keys using the victim's car to carry the loot from the crime scene.
