A unique booklet has been delivered to every household in two villages at the tip of South Suffolk
The Shotley & Erwarton Business and Information Directory gives this rural community more power to access the services they need without having to travel into Ipswich. There are more than 100 businesses and organisations listed, offering a huge range of services, in this free of charge colour publication.
The cost of the Directory was met by County Councillor David Wood and Shotley Parish Council, and advertising revenue will help to fund next year's edition.
Parish Council Chairman Richard Wrinch commented: “It was clear from when we consulted residents and businesses, that people preferred to do business locally but they didn't know enough about what was available” he said. “By producing this very handy booklet, the volunteers involved have now connected them all together”
The Directory was produced by a local business working with both the community newsletter (Shotley Noticeboard) and website (MyShotley.com)
Any residents who haven't received their copy of the Directory should phone 01473 787090 or email directory@MyShotley.com
The Directory is also at www.MyShotley.com
