Shotley Walking Club

The local Walking Club recently celebrated their twelfth year of regular monthly walks - only missing one month in all that time, which was due to very severe weather conditions! The first event was enjoyed by 8 walkers, and it continues to grow in strength, having up to 30-40 participants.

Not all walks are in Shotley of course - Club founder and leader Jill Nunn carefully plans a wide variety of walks in Suffolk and North Essex.

In the Autumn of 2004, the Club held two special Parish Plan walks covering the parishes of Shotley and Erwarton.

• Walks are normally held on the 2nd Sunday of every month, but details are agreed one month at a time.
• New faces are always made welcome.
• There is no charge for the walks.
